Do you know that you can easily distribute your MSIX application images across multiple Azure regions for your Azure Virtual Desktop users with ease? The MSIX format is a new way of packaging apps that gives you more control over application assignments.

However, for a seamless user experience, it’s important to keep the latency of the connection between the AVD session host and the file share hosting the MSIX app image low. If your app images are stored in East US, but your users are in West US, the app performance may suffer due to the latency.

Nerdio Manager offers a solution to this problem by allowing you to distribute MSIX app images across multiple Azure Files shares, located in different regions. This way, each host pool can access the MSIX apps from a share that’s in the same region, and when you update the app, it will be updated in all locations automatically.
