The Package Support Framework (PSF) was originally a Microsoft open-source project to help Win32/DotNet applications run when inside an MSIX Container.  TMurgent has taken up the support for the PSF in our own fork here on GitHub.

A new update to the PSF has been released. From the release notes:

  • Add support in MfrFixup in ILV-Aware mode for SetCurrentDirectory to force path to be a package path when appropriate. When an app uses a file-picker dialog (which currently bypasses MFR), it might cause the app to request a file in the \\?\\UNC\server\share\path format. We now convert this to the normal form of \\server\share\path
    before processing the request.
  • Altered RegLegacyFixup to redirect any calls involving paths to the staterepository to not use virtual registry pathing.

This version of the PSF would be included in future releases of TMurgent Tools:

  • PsfTooling: Version 6.6.0.0 or later
  • TMEditX: Version 4.2.0.0 or later
