Repackaging Tips

  • Start ScreamingFrogSEOSpider-15.2.exe
  • On the Choose Installation Type screen, select Default and click Install
  • When Completed, click Close
  • Start the Program
  • On the EULA screen, click Accept
  • Maximize the Window and click on Licence
  • On the Licence screen, enter the licence info and click OK
  • Click on configuration then system and then proxy and enter the current proxy server there
  • Disable the Embedded browser by: Configuration > System > Embedded Browser
  • After the installation create a folder on a Network share
  • Copy from %userprofile%.screamingfrog the licence.txt and the spider.config file to the network share e.g. R:\ScreamingFrogSEOSpider
  • Create a task that everytime that you run the program the 2 files will be copied: XCOPY "R:\ScreamingFrogSEOSpider" "%userprofile%.ScreamingFrogSEOSpider" /y /s /q /r
Every year there's a new licence. With a new license, only change the supplied license key in the license.txt document in the screaming frog folder on the N drive.
